With one eye on our local community and the other on our global community, the Sweets Truck offers a sugar rush you can feel good about. From our eco paper and plastics choices to our commitment to donate a percentage of sales to organizations doing good things – we want to do our part and give back when we can. We believe in doing the right thing and know that our community will feel good about supporting a business that supports its community in return.
The Sweets Truck is proud to support Los Angeles based School on Wheels and the Catherine McAulay Scholarship.
We are also proud to support donate to, and/or volunteer with: Childhelp USA / Entertainment Auxiliary, Kids in Sports, LA Animal Services (Lacy Street), Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Midnight Mission Downtown Los Angeles.
In 2009 and 2010 it was our pleasure to participate, raise awareness and support the following charitable events: VIP area sponsor and member of top 5 earning Team Taras for 2010 EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles; Manhattan Beach CityWide Coat Drive, Warm Coats & Warm Hearts; Food Trucks for Haiti; Coastal Cleanup Day & Food Truck Festival, a benefit for Heal the Bay; Sunday Sweet Street Scooter Rally to benefit The Pablove Foundation; P.L.A.Y. in the Jungle III, to benefit PlayForKids.org; Long Beach Street Food Festival I & II to benefit Adopt-A-Teacher Program and Long Beach Community College Scholarships; 2009 & 2010 Team (thanks Mukti) for the Pasadena SPCA's Wiggle Waggle Walk; Project by Project (PbP) 8th Annual Tasting Benefit to benefit Health Justice Network, Westside Food Fest at Venice High School to benefit Achievable.org.
It's our pleasure to donate our daily extras and collect extras from our baker friends to dontate to our friends at The Midnight Mission in Downtown Los Angeles and Salvation Army's Zahn Memorial Center.
